iconicChat Shouts Out to People-First, Curiosity, Clarity, Support, and Truth Seeking Mindset
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending Dean Prabhudev Konana's Dean’s Distinguished Speaker Series: Andrew Ross Sorkin at UMD’s Smith School of Business.
Like the Dean, I have had Andrew Ross Sorkin and his colleagues, Becky Quick and Joe Kernen, from CNBC Squawk Box, as the first external workday encounter at my home every day, five days a week, for years! The hours between 6:00 am-8:00 am have always been predominantly dedicated to their voices, analysis, and news. Those are a lot of hours, now that I am sharing! Especially for me, as an innovator, entrepreneur, engineer, and technology researcher, focusing on optimization, agility, and efficiency.
Even in person and unscripted, I was happy to see those focuses in Andrew's truth. His people-first approach with a support and truth seeking mindset in sharing the results of healthy curiosity to answer our fundamental root question of "WHY" in everything we do, were prevalent. I am sure that the students could take away a lot from the deep conversations yesterday.
